No gate keeping motherhood here. I know not all births are the same, and I’m definitely not here to offend, just defend those who have been made to feel less than what they deserve. Whether it was a home birth, c-section, or anything in between, we’re all warriors on different paths going to the same place. Let’s hold a space for everyone’s story ✨

Those Sunset Scaries are real That 5pm wave of anxiety when you realise you’ve got a 12 hour shift solo. If your nights look like: ❌ 5 + wake ups before sunrise. ❌ Stressing over inconsistent “fixes” that don’t work. ❌ Ending the night in tears of frustration. ❌ Feeling physically sick with exhaustion by 8AM. We can talk. I’ve been there and I know how isolating it is. I also know that sleep is not something you have to live without. Ready to leave this behind? DM me the word “SUNSET” and let’s make a plan.

You don’t just want sleep, you want your life back. You want that version of you that you used to know back. Winging it every night is exhausting. 🎀🧸🍼👶🏻 I’m Ashleigh, a Millennial Mum who can help your baby sleep so you can finally be the rested queen you were meant to be! 👑 I survived Hyperemesis (AKA the 9 month hangover from hell) and two C-sections. Genuinely do not know how I ever got through it all! When my first baby arrived I was surviving on minus 10,000 sleep hours, I had absolutely zero knowledge on what I was doing and I think exhaustion was my new personality trait. But your girl wasn’t about to let this carry on. I did a full 360 and almost 5 years on, I now have two absolutely INCREDIBLE sleepers. I passed my Infant Sleep Certification with flying colours and now I’m obsessed with empowering other parents and giving them my cheat code that I didn’t have. Parents mental wellbeing is so important to me and I can’t even explain how vital I think parents having their down time is. I want you back to being well rested Kings and Queens instead of sleep deprived hot mess’s. So if you wanna talk dogs, recipes that are *chefs kiss*, millennial trauma 🫠or babies that think sleep is options then I’m your girl! Ready for your sleep glow up? I’m ready to become your fave solution! 💁🏻‍♀️ 💅🏻

Toddlers: The CEO’s of procrastination! If they’re winning at this, you’re not alone. It doesn’t have to be this hard. Let’s look into some negotiation shutdowns and how to stop losing those bedtime battles! 1. Toddlers THRIVE on control. If your little negotiator is controlling your bedtime, let’s let them THINK they have the control. For example: Would you like your stripy pyjama’s, or your red pyjama’s on tonight? Or Would you like the strawberry or the blueberry bubble bath for bath time? You get my drift. Pick out two options that YOU would like to happen, and give them the choice. It makes them feel so grown up and in control! 2. Prioritise the wind down. Sometimes procrastination is from a stimulated little one who is struggling to regulate those emotions. Dedicate the last 30 minutes before lights out as super calm, quiet time. Let that little nervous system regulate itself into the relaxed state it needs to be in for sleep. Read a book, do a little puzzle or just have a chat and cuddle. They will really love that time just for you two. 3. Boundaries! One thing toddlers love the push right to their limits 😂. Build one final request at the very end of the bedtime routine. Just before lights out, tell them “I love you. You get one final hug, then I’ll go and it’s time for sleep”. Consistency is key here. If they call out after that, respond with “it’s bedtime” (or whatever your sleep phrase is) from the doorway and keep the engagement to a minimum. If you’re really struggling with a strong willed toddler, I’ve got you. Comment with the 🫠 emoji and let’s chat.
Cute lil sleepwear guide I made. Make sure you save this!

One of the most common questions I get is, “Am I dressing my baby right for bed?” Getting your baby’s sleepwear right may be the difference to a better night’s sleep!

One of the most common questions I get is, “Am I dressing my baby right for bed?” Getting your baby’s sleepwear right may be the difference to a better night’s sleep! A baby who is too hot or too cold can find it quite hard to settle. Room thermometers are such a hack and saves a lot of stress. Always check your baby’s chest or back to feel their actual temperature. Cool hands and feet are normal, but a warm back means they’re too hot.

You have a case of outdated advice on your hands.

It does seem that so many millennial parents are being faced with advice that was relevant 30 years ago.

You have a case of outdated advice on your hands. It does seem that so many millennial parents are being faced with advice that was relevant 30 years ago. Research has moved on now and of course, if you think your baby truly needs the extra sleep due to illness or a poor day of sleep the day before then go for it! The general idea is that if baby is having too much sleep in the daytime, their sleep pressure won’t be high enough for them to get through that long night time stretch and you’ll have a midnight rave to attend. Think you need some help with this? Comment “BOOMER ADVICE” and let’s see what’s going down.
